Someone asked me awhile back how I would define a World Class manager. I didn't have a ready answer, but I agreed to think about it and get back to him. This vignette is my response. I thought it might be useful to our readers.

Client Services Under New DirectionRay Padilla
It is our pleasure to take this opportunity to introduce you to Ray Padilla, our new Director of Client Services. Ray has over 25 years experience using continuous improvement and breakthrough technologies to achieve results -- he specializes in Lean/Six Sigma and World Class Improvement Methodologies.

Before joining TCA, Ray worked as an independent consultant and he worked as a manager for Hewlett-Packard Company, where he held various positions spanning research and development, manufacturing, quality department, technical support, and site services.

Ray has a B.S. (magna cum laude) degree in Technical Management from Regis University. He has been married for 33 years to his wife Julie, and has 3 children, two sons and a daughter. He lives in Fort Collins, Colorado and is an avid runner and fly fisherman.

New Senior Consultant Ray Kime
We are also pleased to welcome to TCA Ray Kime as a Senior Consultant. Ray works with TCA clients to integrate Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) and Lean processes with ERP systems. He provides training and hands on technical support to assist companies in their pursuit of business excellence.

Prior to joining TCA, Ray was the global S&OP manager at Honeywell and he also held key management positions at CTS Automotive Products and Nishikawa Rubber Company. While at Nishikawa, Ray learned TPS Lean tools and techniques directly from the Japanese.

Ray has a B.S. in Business Management from Indiana Institute of Technology and is a member of APICS and the Institute of Business Forecasting. He resides in Indiana with his wife and two children.
