INVENTORY TURNS
The rate at which inventory is “sold out” and restocked —
that is, turned over. Faster inventory turns indicate an organization
is holding less excess inventory. Inventory turns are usually calculated
by dividing the cost of goods sold for a period by the average
inventory cost for the period.
