KAIKAKU
Radical improvement of an activity to eliminate waste.
The improvements affect the future value stream. Often these are
changes in business practices or business systems.
For example, reorganizing so that instead of traveling to and from isolated process
villages the product proceeds in single-piece
flow in one short space. Also called breakthrough Kaizen, flow Kaizen,
and system Kaizen.
