PROCESS MAPPING
A visual representation of steps — the actual sequence
of events that any product, service, or process follows. Flow (both direction and elapsed time) can be shown. Process
maps can be at macro, intermediate, or micro levels. Consistent detail is important to illustrate complexity, problem areas,
redundancy, unnecessary loops, and where simplification & standardization
may be possible.
