JIDOKA

Jidoka is defined as automation with a human touch or mind, or autonomation. Automatic machinery that will operate itself but always incorporates the following devices: a mechanism to detect abnormalities or defects, and a mechanism to stop the machine or line when defects or abnormalities occur.
