STANDARD WORK IN PROCESS (SWIP)

Standard Work In Process (SWIP) – The material that must exist in a process to make it operate. That is, the minimum number of units required to make the process flow and support the standard work. SWIP consists of: units being worked; units in test; units heating, cooling, curing, aging and drying; and units attached to multi-station machines.
