ADVANCED QUALITY SYSTEM
(AQS)
Advanced Quality System (AQS) -- A Boeing designed quality system
that focuses on reducing variation on (customer) key characteristics
in value added operations. The AQS solves complex relationships
between multiple interacting variables and uses statistically based
methods to resolve “common cause” variation. The AQS
relies on data recorded over longer periods of time vs. the short
time documentation of reality under Lean.
